How we work
We aim to ensure that parents, students and tutors are properly supported during their time with us.
1. Initial Enquiry
Call us on 0203 633 0543 to arrange a free initial consultation.
Alternatively, you can use our enquiry form – our Director will call within 24 hours.
2. In-depth consultation
During this initial detailed conversation our Director will seek to gain a comprehensive understanding of your requirements. Our aim is always to provide tuition that meets your child’s specific objectives and learning needs.
3. Selecting a suitable tutor
On the basis of the initial consultation, we will make a shortlist of suitable tutors. We will contact these tutors and select the one most able to provide appropriate specialist subject knowledge and the best approach for your child. We do not provide ‘closest-fit tutors’ – if we feel we do not have the right tutor, we will say so.
4. The first tutorial session
We will help you and the tutor arrange the first tutorial session, and we will brief the tutor fully. During the session, the tutor will assess your son or daughter to identify gaps in knowledge, areas of confusion and the materials and tuition style that will be most effective. We fully debrief after this session with parents and the tutor.
5. The tuition programme
The tutor will develop a tailored tuition programme that complements the teaching your child is receiving at school. Where possible, the tutor can speak with teachers to ensure the tuition programme is more formally integrated with classwork.
Cornerstone Tutors is proactive in contacting parents and tutors to provide support, and there is a formal reporting timetable to ensure everything is running smoothly.
